Made for Champions: Multifunctional Sports Facility 'De Gelenberg' in The Netherlands

A Modern Multi‑Functional Sports Hub in Druten

In February, the doors of the brand-new Sportcentrum De Gelenberg officially opened. The new sports complex was developed over approximately one and a half years, resulting in a modern, gas-free building that meets today’s standards for sustainability and accessibility.

The facility is designed to be a multi-functional sports centre. The complex includes:

A swimming complex with leisure and competition facilities
A sports hall and multiple indoor sports courts
Dedicated gymnastics and training spaces
A hospitality area and multifunctional meeting space

How Equipment Enables Multi-Use Sports Centres

This sports centre is a great example of the expertise of Janssen-Fritsen. Combined with high-quality equipemnt this facility is fully future-proof.

Good equipment ensures safe sports environments. The sports hall at De Gelenberg is designed for intensive daily use by schools and clubs. Thanks to the variety of Schelde Sports equipment, such as the SAM School system and a volleyball set, the sports centre serves as a meeting hub for the entire region.

In addition to the sports hall, De Gelenberg also offers swimming facilities, a gymnastics hall, and a hospitality area. With views of the activities, the horeca area is fully integrated into all the sports activities hosted in the facility.
